Before making Atascadero her home, Lanée suffered an injury that required surgery. While recovering, she was encouraged by her husband to find an enjoyable hobby as a way to overcome the hardship of recovery. Designing and making jewelry for boutiques quickly lead Lanée to realize the difference between boutique shopping and going to a bigger store. Boutique shopping offers a unique and personal shopping experience.

Lanée had learned to love to shop only after her husband suggested “If you don't love it, don't buy it”. Before that, she found shopping for clothing to be overwhelming and daunting, with too many or not enough choices. She realized that so many other women experience the same plight. That's when the light came on!

Lanée came to the conclusion that a boutique, featuring quality women's clothing and personal shopping experience was the answer. Many women want quality, high-end brands at a fraction of the price, and that is where the idea of resale came to life. Women appreciate the ability to buy resale clothing as well as giving others a chance to purchase their gently loved apparel and accessories. After all, being a part of sustainable fashion is a win-win situation. Being that she wanted the best selection for her customers she decided to carry new brand apparel as well.
